Blundstone: which model to choose and how to find your size
Partager
Born in Tasmania in 1870, Blundstone makes one of the most worn Chelsea boots in the world. Elastic sides, a pull tab to slip them on, a cushioned sole: they go on in a second and stay on all day. All that is left is to choose the model and the size.
Which model to choose?
The leather classics
- 562 Saddle Brown: the warm brown, the most versatile, with raw denim or chinos.
- 585 Rustic Brown: a deeper brown, with slightly patinated leather.
- 587 Rustic Black: the black, dressier, with chinos or raw denim.
- 1609 Antique Brown: a shaded brown with a vintage look.
The suede models
- 1615 Dark Olive: a dark olive green, original and easy to wear.
- 1911 Tobacco: a warm tobacco, perfect with beige, camel and denim.
The dressier model
- 2444 Brogue Antique Brown: the Chelsea with brogue perforations on the toe, for a more polished look.
How to find your size
Blundstones are sold in UK sizes. They fit true to size: take your usual size and convert it with this chart, the same as the size guide on our product pages.
| France (EU) | UK | Foot length (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| 39 | 5.5 | 24.5 |
| 40 | 6 | 25.0 |
| 41 | 7 | 26.0 |
| 42 | 7.5 | 26.5 |
| 43 | 8.5 | 27.5 |
| 44 | 9.5 | 28.0 |
| 45 | 10.5 | 29.0 |
Between two sizes? Measure your foot: stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark your longest toe and measure in centimetres. Compare with the last column of the chart.
Blundstone leather moulds to your foot within a few days of wear: they should hold your heel without squeezing your toes.
Caring for them
The Blundstone care kit cleans and nourishes the leather. An occasional treatment keeps the leather supple and protects your boots from water and stains.
